John. We will miss you so much John. You were the best of neighbours and friends. Always a cheery face over the hedge we would so enjoy a quick chat, comparing lawns, discussing the plants and seeds we had sown andthe progress of our allotments. You shared a friendly rivalry with Tony over the condition of the lawns and the progress of Reading and Wigan Athletic and Tony would tease you over going for a couple of pints (blood, not beer!) I am so sorry that you and Tony never got to see a match together as you had hoped. You could never help us enough, whether it was tending the house and garden while we were away, or lending a tool, giving diy advice, asking if we needed any shopping or a lift to the station. We so admired your energy...up at the crack of dawn to go help out at the newsagents,  with the magazines; off to the allotment to plant onions and leeks; swapping vegetables and fruit over the fence. There is going to be a huge space in our lives, John, that can never be filled, but you will always live on in our memories . Cheryl and Tony.
